You probably heard about CMS and you may wonder what is people talking about? Well CMS stands for Content Management System which allow users to manage large amount of information inside an organization. Content Management help you to do the following tasks:

- Brings Security, only users with defined roles can access the data to write, read, edit, publicj etc

In our case, a content management system is software that keeps track of every piece of content on your Web site. Your content could be text, photos, music, videos, blog, forums, forms, applications or anything you can adapt to your website. We work with software that are design using the CMS concept such as Joomla and Wordpress. There are more in the market, but we are using this two for the following reasons:

1. There are a lot of extensions that you can adapt to your website by simple clicking and adding it, like when you use your phone and add an app to do something you need to do often.
2. They are easy to use by our customers, and we have training available for them to use. And there is plenty of information about them online.

3. The website owner can assign rights to employees in order to help with the content and the management of the same.

4. Everything is manage in a database, so it is easy to find.

I can be here telling about all the goods of a CMS, but these are the most important things we like about using Joomla and Wordpress.

What is Joomla?
Joomla is an award-winning content management system (CMS), which allows you to build Websites and online applications. Joomla is an open source software that can be use free and it is available to everyone.

With joomla you can install extensions that are available in their website www.joomla.com , for instance if you need to create a form that makes a calculation you just search in their extensions section for the keyword forms and you will have many from where to choose.

Some of the extensions are free others you have to pay for it, but at the end of the day these extensions make the work you need and you do not have to worry about programming anything on your website. Also there are tons of templates available for you to use, so you can go and look for the one you like and install the same on your website.You can even change your colors for any occasion, let's say it is Halloween and you want to have a Halloween theme you can search or modify yours with clicks.

What is Wordpress?
WordPress is an open source blogging tool and publishing platform powered by PHP and MySQL. Wordpress is the most popular CMS in use on the internet.

Wordpress also have many templates that you can find for free when you are installing it. There are apps that you can add to enhance the website.


At the end of the day wheter you work with Joomla, Wordpress or any other software, the good thing about CMS is that you have yor website organize and you can show the same to your customers. This is your presence on the internet and people need to be able to find information on your website and CMS is the tool to provide that.
